Voice Actors and Actresses from Avatar The Last Airbender who came back with new characters in The Legend of Korra.

What a cool post! Once again, the hardest working fans in the business. Also, as illustrated by these graphics, if you hear a voice on ATLA/LOK there is a strong chance it was performed by Grey DeLisle. Although Dee Bradley Baker might have more screen time due to all the animal chirps and grumbles. Either way, Grey and Dee could easily voice an entire series together—just the two of them covering all the characters—and the audience would be none the wiser without checking the credits.

My “5 minute sketch” took longer than 5 minutes… ah well…

Nice! Angela did the original concept design for P’li, and then she and I worked on the final model together.

I see you bryankonietzko.

Ha! I didn’t actually come up with this. Mike, Tim, Josh, and Katie named it after me and my propensity for raw vegan smoothies. I’ll have to try this particular recipe, though I will likely throw a banana or two in there.

“You gotta deal with it!”: The TV writers behind the powerful female character no one is talking about

michaeldantedimartino:

Nice write up by Scott Thill — he asked us some of the best questions we’ve ever been asked by an interviewer. Check out the link for the interview.

Indeed, this was a really fun and stimulating interview. I encourage you to check it out!

Saikhan
What?!
Yeah, I can’t believe somebody’s FAVORITE character IN THE WHOLE SHOW was saikhan either, but I said name your favorite character and I’ll draw it and here we are.
I put this one off for a looong time, but it ended up being pretty fun to draw him looking very serious at a desk.
I hope you enjoy it, saikhantheloyal.

I don’t know which I love more, Colin’s drawing of Saikhan or the fact that someone actually requested a drawing of Saikhan. I guess I’m just really happy that both happened.

TLOK and hugs - 1/4

Bryan and Mike really wanted a hug count. :D

We (on the crew) did regularly kid about how many hugs there were in the Korra episodes. Personally, I’ll take hugs over army battles any day. HUG IT UP!

YES! Thank you for compiling this. SPOILER: More hugs on the way.

Anne Heche will make her LoK debut as the voice of Suyin Beifong during this Friday’s back-to-back episodes, airing at 8 and 8:30 EST on Nick!
More via Hollywood Reporter

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Anne Heche yet (Mike was in all of those recording sessions), but I absolutely LOVE her work in this role. She has a cool, classic, Old Hollywood quality to her voice which suits the time period really well. You get to meet Suyin Beifong and LOTS of new characters in tonight’s second episode.

TOMORROW: Don’t miss two brand new episodes of Korra, starting at 8/7c on Nick!

Howdy, folks! Please note that Korra Nation’s last few posts initially had the wrong air time, which they have since fixed. There will be two back-to-back new episodes tomorrow, FRIDAY AT 8:00 Eastern/Pacific. And the plan is that there will be two new episodes each Friday at 8:00 after that until Book 3 is done airing. Hopefully they’ll stick to that plan, because I think it is cool. I really love these two episodes, which you’ll hear me say about all the Book 3 episodes, although these two were meant to be paired with the previous and subsequent ones, respectively. Oh well, that’s how it worked out. FRIDAYS. AT. EIGHT. BOOM. BYE.

Happy dance! We’re heading to San Diego Comic Con for a Book Three panel on Friday, July 25 and it’s going to be AMAZING!
More via Hollywood Reporter

Hey, guys! The Korra SDCC panel is on Friday, July 25 at 11:15 am -12:15 pm, Ballroom 20. Mike and I are super excited to be joined by Korra panel veterans Janet Varney (Korra), Seychelle Gabriel (Asami), and David Faustino (Mako), and first-time Korra panelists Mindy Sterling (Lin Beifong) and John Michael Higgins (Varrick). We’ll be showing a new, never-been-leaked Book 3 episode, and some other cool sneak peeks. Mike and I, along with various special guests, will be doing three signings (that I know of) during the convention. More info on all of that soon. Looking forward to seeing you in San Diego!

Mike and I and our stretchy heads met some really cool fans of ATLA/LOK tonight at the second Echo Society concert featuring incredible (separate) compositions by Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn, the composer and the sound designer for ATLA/LOK, respectively. Enriching conversation ensued!
