The Fabulous Bending Brothers and *another* plush Pabu in his mascot uniform. (Looks like the exact same one! Maybe it was…?)
Petite Mako (SOOOO many women dressed as Mako and Bolin. LOVE IT!) and Battle Katara.
Of all the hilarious interpretations of Mako’s hair that I saw, this one had me laughing the hardest. LOVE IT!
I don’t celebrate my birthday, but the crew put together a nice card for me anyway a short while back. This excerpt is Ryu’s hilarious and bizarre drawing. Not sure what Bolin’s intentions are here… The Meelo tag line is my favorite part.
EDIT: Thanks for all the kind birthday wishes. You guys are sweet. No, my birthday wasn’t June 1st when I originally posted this, as you can see by my writing that the card was from a short while back. No, I’m not going to tell you when my birthday is because I don’t want to celebrate it and part of that means not having other people celebrate it either. Why? Well, I don’t mind much celebrating other people’s birthdays, but this still sums up at least some of my feelings on the matter.
student Mako
school hunk!
Love the overflow of love letters.
I bet there’s some hate mail in there too. I know how you feel, bro.
Here’s a snapshot of Benjamin Kaltenecker, our production manager and resident Mongoose bike enthusiast, in his office. As you can see, Benjamin is poring over calendars and productions schedules, doing a great job of keeping this crazy train rolling down the tracks. The cardboard Mako cutout on his wall was drawn by Ryu and painted with glow-in-the-dark paints by the crew as part of the Halloween decorations in the Korra area.
I hope you guys enjoy/are enjoying/enjoyed watching episode 104 today. You get to meet some new, vital characters! Joaquim, Ryu, Mike, and I contributed a lot of storyboards to that one. It has a moody, psychological vibe that we all enjoy––not your typical “kids” fare.
EDIT: Sorry, I meant poring, not pouring. Although, maybe he does pour liquids all over the schedules. I see some empty vessels there on his desk.
P.S. I AM BRYAN KONIETZKO AND I WRITE MY TEXT ON TOP WHEN I REBLOG! EVEN THIS P.S. IS ON TOP! DEAL WITH IT! Just kidding, I didn’t know that. But why would that surprise anyone? I don’t know how to make or post a GIF, remember? When I was your age a tumbler was something you put rocks in to make them shiny.
AMAZING!
i wanted to draw avatar state!korra too
This is amazing! Especially the Bolin guy’s hair. (Sorry I’m not linking the actual source of this. The photo was emailed to me.)
EDIT: OK, here’s the source on DeviantArt, Confidenceman047, and on Tumblr, philipehlke.tumblr.com. Thanks, Philip! You guys look great! Hope to see you three at Comic Con this year.
